Manufacturing Company’s $30M Investment to Create 125 New Jobs in Laurens Co.
Clinton, S.C. – Wednesday was a big day for Laurens County as Nordson Industrial Coating Systems (ICS) announced the establishment of a new $30 million facility right in Clinton. The move is set to create *125 new jobs* in the areas of machining, production, engineering, and management.
A Thriving Partnership in South Carolina’s Upstate
David Titone, Vice President of Nordson ICS, expressed his excitement, saying, “*We are very excited to be part of South Carolina’s upstate manufacturing sector. It has been a pleasure working with the state of South Carolina, Laurens County, and the City of Clinton on our new facility.*”
The new facility, which will be located at 19375 Highway 72 E, showcases Nordson’s ongoing commitment to innovation and growth. Nordson’s ICS division, founded in 1954, has come a long way from its early days of producing airless spray equipment. Nowadays, they specialize in the *precise application and curing of powder coatings, liquid paint, ambient temperature adhesives and sealants.* This technology is crucial in preventing corrosion on a diverse array of metal items, such as hubcaps, dishwashers, and soda caps.
A Warm Welcome to Clinton
Randy Randall, Mayor of Clinton, enthusiastically welcomed Nordson, saying, “*The City of Clinton would like to welcome Nordson to Clinton and the Clinton 26 Commerce Park. We are thrilled for their commitment to our city and wish them much success with their new facility.*”
