KAUKAUNA – The Neenah boys cross country team showcased their dominance at the Fox Valley Association conference meet held at Countryside Golf Course, taking the top six places and achieving a perfect score of 15 points. The closest competitor, Kimberly, finished in second place with 55 points. Leading the Neenah boys was Zach Verhagen, who won the race with an impressive time of 16:10.1. His teammate, Braedy Klawikowski, secured second place, finishing at 16:41.0.

The Neenah girls team also had a successful day, winning their title with just 26 points, with three runners finishing in the top five. Kimberly again secured second place with 78 points. Neenah’s Mazie Olkowski clinched the win in the girls race, finishing in 18:29.8. Just behind her was Eva Busch from Appleton North with a time of 18:30.0.

For the girls, the team standings were: Neenah (26), Kimberly (78), Appleton North (111), followed by other local teams. The top 20 finishers included Neenah athletes Elsa Gruber in third place with 18:32.1 and Natalie Schultz in fifth with 18:45.1.

On the boys’ side, the results were as follows: Neenah (15), Kimberly (55), and Appleton North (130) in third place. Additional top finishers were Neenah runners Carson Verhagen, Bly Wheeler, and Oliver Steiner following closely behind.

CHILTON – In a tight race at the Eastern Wisconsin Conference meet, the Two Rivers boys team claimed victory with a total of 35 points, just edging out Chilton, who finished with 39 points. Two Rivers’ top runners, Eli Gallagher and Carson Kadow, finished first and second with times of 16:32.88 and 16:54.30, respectively. The ladies saw Kiel take home the win with 44 points, beating Valders (53 points) and Two Rivers (66 points).

Across the meet, notable performances included Hannah Welch of Valders, who won the girls’ race in a swift 19:28.08.

As the season presses on, the teams gear up for further competitions, aiming to maintain their momentum and chase their championship dreams.
