NEWBERRY, SC — This year’s National Night Out event has been rescheduled. Initially set for Tuesday, August 6, the event will now take place on Tuesday, August 20 from 5-7 p.m. Note the change from its original timing of 6-8 p.m.
The event will be held in Mollohon Park located at 211 Player Street in Newberry. It’s important for attendees to mark this new date on their calendars to ensure they don’t miss out on this community-focused event.
National Night Out is an annual campaign that aims to strengthen the bond between police and the community. It focuses on fostering better police-community partnerships and building a sense of camaraderie in neighborhoods. This, in turn, helps make neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live and work.
The Newberry Police Department along with assisting agencies, have expressed their hope to see a great turnout on August 20. Community members are encouraged to come out and join in the activities that promote unity and safety in the neighborhood.
