Residents of Newberry, make sure to mark your calendars! This year’s National Night Out, which was originally set to happen on Tuesday, August 6, has been postponed. The new date is Tuesday, August 20, and the event will now run from 5-7 p.m., instead of the earlier planned 6-8 p.m.
Come down to Mollohon Park, located at 211 Player Street in Newberry, for an evening aimed at strengthening the ties between community members and local law enforcement agencies. National Night Out is an annual event designed to promote safer and more caring neighborhoods through stronger police-community partnerships.
The Newberry Police Department, along with other assisting agencies, have arranged for an assortment of activities and informational sessions. The goal is to foster a sense of camaraderie and cooperation in making Newberry a better place to live and work.
Whether it’s your first time attending, or you’re a seasoned participant, National Night Out offers a fantastic opportunity to meet your neighbors and local law enforcement in a relaxed and friendly setting. Don’t miss out on the rescheduled event on August 20!
We hope to see everyone at Mollohon Park for an evening of community-building and fun. Let’s make this year’s National Night Out a memorable one!
