The WRIGHT COUNTY teams were on fire as well, with Mound Westonka edging Rockford in a nail-biting finish, scoring 59-57. This win highlighted the resilience of the Mound Westonka squad as they fought hard to maintain their lead in the final moments.

In other notable matches, Cambridge-Isanti overwhelmed Duluth East with a score of 68-51, while Eden Prairie defeated Eagan 72-55. Forest Lake also delivered a close contest against Andover, ultimately taking the win at 78-74. These games are a testament to the competitive spirit alive in high school basketball.

Meanwhile, in boys’ hockey, Hill-Murray showcased their dominance with a commanding 9-1 victory over Mahtomedi.
