Local High School Sports Roundup: Thrilling Wins in Football, Volleyball, and Soccer

In the Cincinnati area, high school sports are in full swing this week, and several teams put on impressive performances. The local volleyball scene saw dominating wins as Bellevue shutout Gamble Montessori with a score of 46-0. Badin, showing solid form, defeated Edgewood with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, and 25-18. Kings continued their strong season by defeating West Clermont 25-21, 25-16, and 25-22, while Anderson also achieved a convincing victory over Winton Woods, finishing the match with 25-11, 25-8, and 25-6.

McNicholas continued their winning ways, defeating Sycamore comfortably with a scoreline of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-9. Hamilton managed to win against Western Brown in a close match, concluding with scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 27-25. Taylor remains undefeated, pushing their record to 14-0 after battling past Wyoming with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-14.

In boys’ soccer, Reading had a dominant performance against Norwood, winning 6-0. Allen and Vance both scored two goals each, contributing to the shutout win. Winton Woods also claimed victory, winning 2-0 against Western Hills, with some strong defense that led to a shutout. Cincinnati Christian produced an impressive showing, blanking Purcell Marian 6-0, with Lewis netting three goals and Grooms adding another.

On the golf course, the OHSAA Division III district tournament concluded with National Trail securing the top spot with a total score of 315. Ethan Argus from Cincinnati Country Day had a standout performance shooting 68
