Hopewell, Virginia is reeling after the sudden death of 15-year-old football player Jayvion Taylor during a practice session on a sweltering day. Emergency services were called, and Taylor was rushed to a local hospital but tragically passed away shortly after arrival. She voiced her concern regarding the absence of an athletic trainer on site, stating, “You would think that if you’re not gonna have a trainer, that these coaches know what to do if something was to happen.” The school district has labeled the incident a “tragic accident” and claims that the staff acted appropriately.
