Exciting High School Sports Results from the Twin Cities

The high school sports scene in the Twin Cities continues to be buzzing with action as teams compete in various state tournaments. Fans are eagerly following the outcomes of their favorite teams, and the results from recent matches are creating plenty of excitement.

Soccer Semifinals Highlights

Boys Class 3A State Tournament

In a thrilling semifinal match, Eagan triumphed over Mpls. Washburn with a narrow score of 1-0 after overtime. Meanwhile, Maple Grove secured a spot in the finals by defeating Andover 3-1.

Girls Class 3A State Tournament

In the third-place matchup, Eagan battled against East Ridge, but the game ended in a 2-2 tie. The outcome has left both teams satisfied with their performance throughout the tournament.

Volleyball Championship Results

The volleyball teams also had a busy week, with several exciting matches taking place in different sections.

Girls Class 4A Section 1 Semifinals

Lakeville North defeated New Prague in a strong showing, winning the match with scores of 25-11, 25-21, 20-25, 25-16. Lakeville South also had a successful night, as they took down Farmington 25-19, 25-18, 25-13.

Section 3 Championship

East Ridge faced off against Eagan in a tough five-set match, ultimately coming out on top with scores of 25-22, 19-25, 27-25, 24-26, 15-5.

Other Notable Championships

Across various sections, Champlin Park defeated Maple Grove 3-2, and Apple Valley took down Minneapolis Southwest, also in five sets. The matches are drawing large crowds, showing just how passionate fans are for high school sports.
