City: As high school sports season heats up, several athletes have put on standout performances worth noting from November 4-10. This week, various players around the country showcased their skills on the field, contributing to thrilling games and impressive wins.
One of the highlights came from Trinity Academy, where a player recorded a hat trick in a nail-biting 4-3 victory against Rose Hill, securing the Class 4-1A state championship. Meanwhile, Church Point’s star runner boasted an impressive 303 yards and four touchdowns on just 23 carriers, leading his team to a commanding 55-28 win over Ville Platte.
Caudill also made headlines by compiling a phenomenal 380 yards of total offense while tallying seven touchdowns in a 49-29 victory against Rocky River. Not to be outdone, Crowley’s standout performance included 10 catches for 198 yards and five touchdowns, which helped his team secure a 63-34 win against Bend.
Bountiful’s player produced over 200 total yards of offense with five touchdowns in a close 42-35 win over Maple Mountain, while Glendenning dazzled with 243 yards rushing and five touchdowns leading to a 44-24 victory against Capital City.
A senior athlete with aspirations for Stanford amazed spectators with 11 catches for 194 yards and two touchdowns, helping Fishers narrowly defeat Hamilton Southeastern in an intense 44-41 shootout.
