This week in Vermont, the 2024 high school fall season has kicked off with exciting matchups across various sports. The soccer fields, volleyball courts, and cross-country trails are bustling with young athletes showcasing their skills.
Soccer Highlights
In soccer news, Vermont edged out NJIT with a close score of 2-1. Jill Brody and Emma Warren each netted a goal, supported by assists from Torie Snyder and Kate Bossert. In other matches, Colchester defeated South Burlington 1-0, thanks to Kate Bradford’s goal 22 minutes into the second half.
North Country and Milton ended their game in a 0-0 tie after overtime, with solid performances from Ava Bouchard and Isabella Kang, who made 11 and 0 saves respectively. Meanwhile, Paine Mountain narrowly defeated Blue Mountain in a thrilling game that ended with a score of 5-4.
Field Hockey and Volleyball Action
