Michiana was buzzing with excitement on Friday night as high school football teams took to the field for the final week of the regular season in Indiana and the second-to-last week in Michigan. The stands were packed with enthusiastic fans cheering on their local schools.
Among the standout performances, Concord dominated Plymouth with a score of 42-14. In another impressive matchup, Mishawaka cruised past Wawasee with a decisive 46-7 victory. Warsaw also showcased their strength, defeating Northridge 42-13.
The action continued as NorthWood put on a defensive clinic, shutting out Goshen 42-0, while Penn kept South Bend Saint Joseph scoreless, winning 27-0. Elkhart impressed with a strong performance against South Bend Adams, winning 55-14.
Other notable scores included Mishawaka Marian defeating South Bend Riley 21-7 and New Prairie taking down South Bend Washington 52-8. Knox scored big against Bowman Academy, ending the game at 61-6.
The excitement didn’t stop there, as Jimtown edged out Lakeland in a close match, finishing at 44-34. Culver Academies also had a solid victory over John Glenn with a final score of 48-7.
As Indiana schools wrapped up their regular season, Michigan teams are still gearing up for the final week.
