High School Sports Roundup from Minnesota

This past week in Minnesota high school sports was filled with excitement and competition across various games and tournaments. Several basketball teams showcased their skills, with noteworthy performances from both boys and girls teams.

In the EASTERN MINNESOTA ATHLETIC boys basketball league, Avail Academy celebrated a decisive victory over Math & Science with a final score of 65 to 42. Another impressive game saw Hmong Academy obliterating AFSA with an extraordinary score of 94 to 19. Meanwhile, in the MCAA, Mayer Lutheran came out strong, defeating Eagle Ridge with a score of 90 to 74.

Looking at the NORTHWEST SUBURBAN league, Blaine narrowly defeated Andover with a close score of 86 to 82, while Maple Grove dominated Park Center, finishing at 78 to 36. Spring Lake Park managed a close victory against Totino-Grace, winning 78 to 71.

In the girls’ competitions, Mayer Lutheran also had a great day with their basketball team, overpowering Eagle Ridge 74 to 31 in the MCAA league. Over in MINNEAPOLIS CITY, Southwest achieved a narrow win against Camden, finishing with a score of 62 to 56.

Gymnastics also saw thrilling events, with Hopkins narrowly edging out Wayzata with scores of 138.175 to 136.3. In the SUBURBAN EAST, East Ridge triumphed over Forest Lake, scoring 137.5 to 136.625.

Hockey continued to heat up as well, particularly in the boys’ division. Hill-Murray had a fantastic game against Tartan, winning decisively with a score of 7 to 1. In another thrilling matchup, Maple Grove crushed Osseo 9 to 2, while Eden Prairie narrowly squeezed past Shakopee with a close score of 6 to 5.

As the winter sports season progresses, all eyes will be on the upcoming games, promising even more action and exciting outcomes across Minnesota high school sports.
