In the Cincinnati area, the high school bowling teams showcased their skills in several matches this week, kicking off the season with some impressive performances.
In a tightly contested match, Oak Hills pulled out a victory over Lakota East, scoring 1755 to 1695. Leading the way for Oak Hills was Maness, who bowled an outstanding 319. This victory gives Oak Hills a record of 1-0 in the Greater Miami Conference, while Lakota East falls to 0-1.
Meanwhile, Reading triumphed over Mariemont with a score of 1678 to 1617. The standout performer for Reading was Chandler, who led the team with a score of 340. Reading starts their season strong with a record of 1-0 in the Cincinnati Hills League, while Mariemont is now at 0-1.
Lebanon had a solid win against Little Miami, putting up a score of 2095 compared to Little Miami’s 1685. Fields was Lebanon’s top scorer with 325, helping them achieve a record of 1-0.
In another match, Walnut Hills faced off against Purcell Marian and dominated, with a score of 2068 to 1445. Williams led Walnut Hills with an impressive score of 474, starting their season at 1-0.
The actions continued as *Reading* edged out *Mariemont* again, this time with a score of 2280 to 1956, with Massey scoring 361. Meanwhile, *Lebanon* faced *Little Miami* once more, winning the match with a score of 2674 to 2512 as Alvear shone with a score of 457.
In their second encounter, *Walnut Hills* beat *Purcell Marian* again, scored 2309 to 1574 with Johnson leading the way at 392. All teams are eager to build on their performances as the season progresses and they compete for top honors.
