High School Football Rankings Update: Belleville Leads the Charge in Michigan

Detroit – The high school football landscape in Michigan is heating up as the Associated Press has released its latest rankings on September 17, 2024, heading into Week 4 of the season. The rankings reflect the strong performances from teams across the state, showcasing those who have made a significant mark so far.

Leading the pack is Belleville with an impressive record of 3-0 and a total of 49 points in the poll, along with four first-place votes. This puts them in a strong position as the season unfolds. Following closely behind is Rockford, which also holds a record of 3-0 and has scored 42 points, including one first-place vote.

Other notable teams in the top ten include Macomb Dakota, Detroit Catholic Central, and Lake Orion, each boasting a perfect 3-0 record. Notably, Clarkston has slipped a bit with a record of 2-1, earning them the ninth spot with 11 points.

The 8-player football division also saw some exciting developments, with Warren De La Salle securing the top position in their category, tied with Fowler from the 8-player division both leading their ranks at 3-0.

In total, Michigan high school football is showcasing a myriad of competitive teams that are making significant strides this season. With three weeks already in the books and plenty more action to come, fans are excited to see how these rankings may shift in the upcoming weeks.
