In girls’ soccer, Sparrows Point continued its impressive run as they crushed Patapsco with an 11-0 score, securing a spot in the state quarterfinals. A remarkable team effort saw Reaghan Wheeler and Kylie Stambaugh score two goals each, with Madyson Costello, Ami Walters, and several others contributing to the scoreboard.
Bel Air edged past Poly with a 1-0 win, thanks to an overtime goal from Ally Mace, who was set up by Alyssa Foote. Meanwhile, Harford Tech dominated Patterson Mill with a final score of 4-0, led by Ashley Shelton’s pair of goals.
The game between C. Milton Wright and Rising Sun was a nail-biter, finishing 1-0 after Mackenzi Milich broke the tie in the 65th minute. The Mustangs’ goalkeeper Alix Bramble made sure the lead stood, ending with three saves.
The boys’ side also saw some exciting matchups. Perry Hall earned a 2-1 victory against Kenwood, scoring early in the match and holding on for the win. North County came out on top over Perry Hall as well, concluding with a 5-1 score. Maggie Blanford shone for the Knights, netting two goals.
Additionally, Broadneck secured a 3-0 win against Annapolis, with Wilson Banwell leading the charge with two goals. The Bruins’ defense, helped by Joe Brenner’s two saves, maintained a strong shutout.
