The scoring unfolded with Danbury leading the first quarter 15-11, but Hamden fought back in the second, winning that segment 23-13. Ultimately, Danbury took the win as their players stepped up in the second half, outscoring Hamden 35-30. Khalil Tolliver led Danbury with 17 points, followed by Trenton Fraser with 13.

In another exciting game, Darien edged Guilford by a narrow 68-64 margin. Guilford’s Noah Young was the standout player, finishing with an impressive 33 points. Despite his efforts, Darien managed to secure the win thanks to Jake Blythe’s remarkable performance of 24 points.

E.O. Smith had a solid win against Avon, finishing the game at 70-62. Avon had strong contributions from Jude Turner, who scored 25 points. However, E.O. Smith’s Cameron Belanger matched him with 25 points of his own, proving instrumental in their win.

In girls’ action, Hamden thrashed Lauralton Hall 58-30, with Aunee Brookshire recording a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
