Clinton Fire Chief Jeremy Marshall recounted the difficult battle firefighters faced to contain the flames. “We had twelve initial dispatch departments through mutual aid,” Chief Marshall explained, adding that an additional thirty firefighters arrived on the scene to assist. It’s clear that the response to this disaster required a massive effort; in total, over 50 firefighters were deployed, with resources including four ladder trucks and eight water tankers fighting the fire. “I started here in 2009, and I haven’t encountered a situation like this,” he admitted, emphasizing the fire’s severity.
