Weather and Sports Highlights: Foggy Morning Turns to Afternoon Thunderstorms and Athlete of the Week Voting Opens

Weather Update for Laurens: A Mixed Bag Today

Good morning, Laurens! As we step into another day in our beautiful city, we’re greeted with a touch of fog lingering in the air. That veil of fog adds a little mystery, but don’t let it fool you; things are about to shift! By this afternoon, expect some isolated thunderstorms to roll in, bringing with them gusty winds and the possibility of small hail.

Make sure to keep an eye on the sky as you enjoy the day! The high is expected to reach around 87°F, with winds blowing in from the south at 5 to 10 mph. While the chance of rain sits at about 30%, it’s always a good idea to grab that umbrella just in case. Later tonight, the scattered thunderstorms should start to quiet down, leading to a partly cloudy night with a low of around 68°F. Winds will lighten up, and the chance of rain increases slightly to 40%. So perhaps enjoy a cozy evening in!
