High School Football Roundup: Power Rankings Update

This week in Montana, high school football teams are making headlines as we approach the end of the regular season. The latest MTN Sports power rankings show some exciting developments across all classes, providing a snapshot of who’s leading the pack.

Class AA

The top spot in Class AA is held by Bozeman Gallatin with an impressive record of 8-0. Last week, they defeated No. 3 ranked Billings West in a thrilling game, finishing 39-21. They are set to play Billings Skyview this week, who currently holds a record of 1-7.

Helena Capital follows closely with a record of 7-1. They had a dominating win against Kalispell Flathead, beating them 57-17. This week, they’ll face Butte who sits at 3-5.

Kalispell Glacier is also making waves with a 7-1 record after besting No. 5 Missoula Big Sky 35-7. They are scheduled to take on Missoula Sentinel, who has a record of 4-4.

Class A

In Class A, Frenchtown and Billings Central are tied at the top, both boasting unbeaten records of 8-0. Frenchtown crushed Stevensville 56-0 last week and will be facing Butte Central (3-4) this week. Meanwhile, Billings Central triumphed over Lockwood with a score of 63-7 and will head to Miles City (5-3) for their next match.

Dillon is 6-1 after defeating Butte Central 49-0 and will visit Libby (3-5) this week.

Class B

Class B is led by Malta and Manhattan, both at 8-0. Malta beat Cut Bank 45-16 while Manhattan secured a victory over No. 3 Jefferson 37-19. This week, Malta will face Fairfield (4-3) and Manhattan is set for a clash at Columbus (4-3).

8-Man

In the 8-Man division, Fairview, Belt, and Valley Christian all remain undefeated at 8-0. Fairview overcame Ekalaka 41-16 last week, while Belt claimed a decisive 67-16 victory against Shelby. This week, Fairview will take on Wibaux (2-6).

6-Man

In the 6-Man category, Centerville climbed to the top after defeating previously unbeaten D-G-S-G 68-38. Centerville now has a record of 7-1. Meanwhile, Box Elder remains unbeaten at 7-0 after a solid win against Big Sandy (61-32).

This update sets the stage for what’s sure to be an exciting week of high school football as teams vie for playoff positioning!
