High School Football Playoff Action Heats Up in Utah

Utah’s high school football scene is buzzing as teams prepare for an exciting weekend of playoff matchups. On November 13, 2024, amidst the competitive spirit, Rice-Eccles Stadium will be the place to be, hosting several thrilling games as teams aim for a coveted spot in next week’s state title games.

The day kicks off with a showdown between No. 4 Lehi and No. 1 Corner Canyon at 11:00 AM, followed by No. 3 Lone Peak taking on No. 2 Skyridge at 2:30 PM. Fans can expect a fierce battle, as both Lone Peak and Skyridge are known for their intense rivalry.

In the 4A classification, No. 4 Timpview will face No. 1 Roy at 11:00 AM, while No. 3 Brighton goes against No. 2 Bountiful at 2:30 PM. With these highly-ranked teams, spectators can look forward to extraordinary plays and unforgettable moments on the field.

The evening brings more action, starting with No. 4 Spanish Fork clashing with No. 1 Ridgeline at 6:00 PM, and No. 7 Sky View taking on No. 3 Crimson Cliffs, also at 6:00 PM. The match between No. 2 Richfield and No. 1 Morgan and No. 2 Emery versus No. 1 San Juan will follow, promising further excitement as these teams fight to advance.

The action isn’t limited to just 6A and 5A classifications. In the lower classifications, watch as No. 3 Kanab challenges No. 1 Beaver at 1:00 PM and No. 2 Monticello takes on No. 1 Rich at 10:00 AM. Each game is crucial as the stakes continue to rise with each round of playoffs.

As the weekend unfolds, teams will strive not only for victory but also for a chance to compete for the state title.
