High School Sports Preview for Arlington
Arlington, VA is gearing up for a jam-packed week of high school sports. Starting on Friday night, October 18, three local football teams will hit the field. The excitement kicks off with Yorktown traveling to face Langley, Wakefield going up against Marshall, and Bishop O’Connell competing against St. Mary’s Ryken. All games are set to start at 7 p.m..
Besides football, there are several other events on the calendar. The Liberty District girls field hockey tournament is also on the schedule, with specific times and teams yet to be announced. For those interested in golf, the girls from Arlington will participate in the State Open qualifier in Clifton at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
In cross country, the Bishop O’Connell and Washington-Liberty teams will be joining a significant showcase meet in Virginia at 10 a.m. This event is expected to draw a competitive field of runners.
