Three Suspects Named in Homicide of Freddie Markell Byrd
Clinton, South Carolina: Three individuals have been named as suspects in the connection with the shooting death of Freddie Markell Byrd of Clinton. The incident occurred early morning, April 4, 2020, during a house party in Clinton, as per the Clinton Police Department (CPD).

The early morning shooting traumatized locals as Freddie Markell Byrd, 31, a resident of North Bell St., Clinton, was pronounced dead at the incident scene. According to Laurens County Assistant Coroner Patti Canupp, Byrd’s body was found on Friendship Drive, Clinton.

In an unrelated report, the authorities arrested Andrew Kyle Abercrombie, 30, of Palmetto St., and Quantez Lee McGowan, 20, of South Bell St., both of Clinton. They were charged as shooting into a dwelling suspects in an incident that transpired on April 3. McGowan was also discovered in possession of 58 1/2 dosage units of the party drug, Ecstasy, according to reports. His bond was set at $70,000 on the shooting charge and $15,000 for possession with intent.
