High School Sports Recap in Minnesota
This week, Minnesota high school sports were buzzing with excitement as teams competed fiercely in several matches across the state.
In basketball action, Anoka showcased a dominant performance against St. Thomas Academy, winning with a score of 88-52. Similarly, Armstrong narrowly edged out Cooper in a thrilling matchup that ended 69-63. The competition was stiff among other teams as well; Benilde-St Margaret’s triumphed over Stewartville with a final score of 75-57.
Boys’ basketball wasn’t the only highlight in the metropolitan area. Blake dominated Dassel-Cokato with an impressive score of 92-47, while Columbia Heights fought hard to secure a victory against Hermantown, ending the game at 75-67. Furthermore, Cretin-Derham Hall managed to overcome Orono, finishing with a score of 75-64.
In addition to basketball, hockey teams also had exciting matches. The Prior Lake tournament saw Prior Lake lead the pack with a score of 434, followed by Duluth East at 421. The rest of the teams fought valiantly, but none could catch up to those top spots.
