High School Soccer Season Recap

Bozeman had an exciting high school soccer season, filled with talent and competitive spirit. This year, Ezekiel Leighton, a junior forward from Bozeman Gallatin, was recognized as the Eastern AA Boys Player of the Year. His outstanding performance throughout the season helped his team make a strong showing.

The All-State team featured several top players, including Leighton and fellow Bozeman athletes Oliver Boettcher and Leo Fields. From Billings West, Brennan Ellis, a senior goalkeeper, also held a key spot on the All-State list. Other notable mentions included Kevin Kershaw and Lucas Thompson from Billings Senior, among others, who showcased their skills in various positions throughout the season.

In girls’ soccer, Bozeman’s Maya Bossenbrook received the title of the Player of the Year. The All-State selections for girls included multiple players from Bozeman, with a strong representation from the Billings teams as well. Other standout players recognized include Karly Jordan and Hadley Brown, also from Bozeman. Performance by these players highlighted their dedication and skill on the field.

The Western AA Boys Player of the Year was Brady Reed from Missoula Hellgate, leading his team with impressive goal-scoring ability. In the girls’ category from the same region, Liv Thorne-Thomsen was honored for her midfield dominance. These players showcased the best of Montana soccer with their talent and leadership.

This high school soccer season saw thrilling matches, and the recognition of these players underlines the competitive spirit that thrives in these young athletes. With talents like Leighton and Bossenbrook, the future of soccer in Bozeman and beyond looks bright.
