CLINTON, S.C. – On Wednesday, Nordson Industrial Coating Systems (ICS) announced they are establishing a new $30 million facility in Laurens County. This significant move will create 125 new jobs in areas such as machining, production, engineering, and management.
New Facility Location
The facility will sit at 19375 Highway 72 E in Clinton. “We are very excited to be part of South Carolina’s upstate manufacturing sector,” said David Titone, Vice President of Nordson ICS. “It has been a pleasure working with the state of South Carolina, Laurens County, and the City of Clinton on our new facility.”
History and Impact of Nordson’s ICS Division
Founded in 1954, Nordson’s ICS division began as a producer and marketer of airless spray equipment. Today, manufacturers worldwide rely on ICS equipment for the precise **application and curing** of powder coatings, liquid paint, ambient temperature adhesives, and sealants. This powder coating serves to prevent corrosion on various metal items such as hub caps, dishwashers, and soda caps, among others.
Community Response
The local community has warmly welcomed this investment. “The City of Clinton would like to welcome Nordson to Clinton and the Clinton 26 Commerce Park,” said Randy Randall, Mayor of the City of Clinton. “We are thrilled for their commitment to our city and wish them much success with their new facility.”
